Ultrasound
Ultrasonography is a non-invasive technique used to diagnose:
- cardiac and thoracic disease
- abdominal diseases (liver, bowel, kidneys, adrenals, pancreas, bladder, spleen, etc.)
- pregnancy and reproductive diseases in both male and female patients
- ocular and periocular disease
To guide:
- biopsies or aspirates of abnormal tissues
- tapping and drainage of abnormal and unwanted fluid accumulations
